Our Method

A real place, with real people in it.

3:1 The Hub ratio — yes, we count

Three students. One certified teacher. Every session.

For core academics and intervention, your child shares a table with at most two other students and a certified teacher or college professor. Close enough to catch the mistake as the pencil makes it.

Enrichment and test prep stay small too.

Group programs are capped at 12. Big enough for energy, small enough that nobody hides in the back row.

In-center, at-home, or online — same standard.

Most families choose the desks in Melville. But the same certified staff teach at your kitchen table or over video when that’s what the week needs.

Tell us the grade, the subject, and what’s not working. We’ll point you to the right card — and if the answer is “none yet, just come tour,” we’ll say that too.

Home Our Method

Why it works.

We are more than just a tutoring company. It comes down to three things we refuse to compromise: who teaches, how few kids they teach at once, and how much of your child’s life we’re willing to handle in one place.

The ratio

A real place, with real people in it.

3:1 The Hub ratio — yes, we count

Three students. One certified teacher. Every session.

For core academics and intervention, your child shares a table with at most two other students and a New York State–certified teacher or college professor. Close enough to catch the mistake as the pencil makes it — not a week later on a test.

Enrichment and test prep stay small too.

Group programs are capped at 12. Big enough for energy, small enough that nobody hides in the back row. Every teacher knows every name by day two.

Certified teachers — not a gig roster.

The person at your child’s table is a credentialed educator, often with classroom or college-teaching experience. The same faces, week after week, so trust has time to build.

Don’t take the website’s word for it.

We give facility tours. Walk the room, meet the teachers, count the chairs at each table yourself.

Specialists on staff

When your child needs more than a tutor.

Alongside our certified teachers, Homework Hub keeps specialists on staff — so support that usually means a second commute and a third waiting room happens right here, folded into the same afternoon.

Tell us what’s on the IEP, or what your gut says. We’ll build the plan together.

  • Occupational therapy supportFine motor, handwriting, sensory needs
  • Speech & languageArticulation, fluency, comprehension
  • ENL supportEnglish as a New Language, all levels
  • Executive functioningPlanning, organization, follow-through
  • Social skills groupsPractice with peers, guided by pros
  • Learning-disability supportSpecialized instruction, IEP-aware
all under one roof — no juggling three appointments across town.

First session

The free assessment

What the first visit actually includes.

It’s not a sales pitch and it’s not a test to pass. It’s how we make sure the plan fits your child — before anyone commits to anything.

  • A real conversationAbout your child, your week, and what’s been hard.

Good questions

Before you call.

What ages do you work with?

Pre-K through college — and adults too, through Career Hub. From early phonics to MCAT prep, it’s all under one roof.

Do you come to our home, or is it only at the center?

Both, plus online. Most families choose the desks in Melville, but the same certified staff teach at your kitchen table across Long Island or live over video — whichever fits your week.

How small are the groups, really?

Core academics and intervention run at 3:1 — three students per teacher, never more. Enrichment and test-prep groups are capped at 12. You’re welcome to tour the room and count the chairs at each table — they’re set that way on purpose.

My child has an IEP. Can you help?

Yes. We keep specialists on staff — occupational therapy, speech and language, ENL, executive functioning, and more — and we build the plan around what’s on the IEP. Bring it to the assessment.

What does it cost?

It depends on the Hub, the ratio, and how often your child comes — so we talk it through at the free assessment and match a plan to your family. No obligation to start.

Can we just come look first?

Please do. Tours are free and unhurried. Bring your student, bring your questions, bring the backpack of doom.

Ready when you are

Book your free assessment.

Call or text and we’ll find a time this week. It’s the fastest way to see whether your kid’s shoulders come down.
